This is a hand forged Copper Cuff Bracelet with a smooth surface finish.
What makes this item special is that it is 100% handmade with absolutely NO modern power equipment or tools. From the drawing and squaring process, to the softening of the metal in between forgings, to the trimming, to the polishing, every step is done by hand without the assistance of any modern power tools or equipment. Everything that led to the creation of this bracelet could have been done hundreds of years ago.
This bracelet is NOT perfect. Here in the FrigidForge-Forged Central Category, we believe that minor imperfections create the uniqueness and identity that makes a product like this a work of art versus a mass produced, stamped, characterless piece of jewelry. The same way that your characteristics and minor imperfections make you a beautiful human being instead of a robot.
This and any copper bracelet we sell here are fully softened. This means the metal is easily bendable. The purpose behind this very important step is to make the bracelet easy to adjust fitment by hand. Please note, if you catch this bracelet on a piece of clothing, or anything else for that matter, it will probably bend out of shape. Copper has a fantastic property of 'work hardening'. This means that when you first receive it, it will bend easily for sizing adjustments. If it gets bent out of shape, you can easily bend it back. As you adjust it over time, it will get harder and harder and will eventually hold the perfect shape that fits your individual wrist perfectly.
Please be aware, copper jewelry has the potential to temporarily stain your skin green! I am a 5' 11" male who weighs around 175lbs. I sweat as does any average man. When I wear a new copper bracelet, my skin gets a stain (if you could call it that) that is easily washed off within 1 or 2 days. Once the bracelet has oxidized, the staining effect is drastically reduced. My wife on the other hand wears her copper jewelry quite regularly and rarely gets the green transfer to her skin except for on the hottest of summer days. I will gladly either line the bracelet with suede leather, or try out an epoxy type finish, for my first few customers if they are wanting to assist me in some research and development of this product free of charge.
As always here at FrigidForge, you, my customer will always be my top priority. Anything I can do to serve you is my absolute pleasure and your complete satisfaction is my ultimate goal.
